Faculty Position starting Fall 2010
The
Department of Statistics at Columbia University invites
applications for one or more Assistant Professor Positions, commencing
July 1, 2010. A PhD in statistics or a related field and
commitment to high quality research and teaching in statistics and/or
probability are required. Outstanding candidates in all areas are
strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates will be expected to
sustain an active research and publication agenda and to teach in the
departmental undergraduate and graduate programs.
The
department currently consists of 20 faculty members, 40 PhD
students, and over 100 MS students. The department has been expanding
rapidly and, like the University itself, is an extraordinarily vibrant

Assistant Professor of Statistics

are invites for a tenure-track assistant professor
position in Statistics at The University of Iowa starting August
2010. Applicants must show promise of excellence in scholarly
research and teaching, as well as interest in research
collaboration. Research interests compatible with those of
current faculty members are desirable. These include modern
computational statistics, statistical genetics, spatial statistics,
Bayesian inference, time series, categorical data analysis, and
bioimformatics. Opportunities abound for interdisciplinary
research in medicine and public health, economics, environmental
sciences, engineering, law and justice, and other areas.

The
Department of Educational Psychology at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison seeks applicants for a tenure track faculty position
in the Quantitative Methods Area at the Assistant or Associate
Professor level. We are seeking candidates with an earned doctorate in
Educational Psychology, Psychology, Statistics, or related fields with
a specialization in quantitative methods. Preferred applicants should
have a strong research program in quantitative methodology relevant to
issues in education and the social and behavioral sciences.
Responsibilities include teaching graduate level courses, conducting
and publishing research, satisfying the service expectations of the
department and university, as well as collaborating with faculty on
research design and statistical analysis. The University of
