The 20th Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship Race

With the support of

RTIlogo

The Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship was established in 1989 to encourage more
women to enter statistically oriented professions.  Find more about the Gertrude M.
Cox Scholarship history and application for the scholarship at the ASA website.

Every year, during the Joint Statistical Meetings, the Caucus for Women in Statistics, in
conjunction with the ASA Committee on Women in Statistics, organizes a 5K race and
a 2.5K Fun Walk to
bring awareness to and whose proceedings benefit the Gertrude M.
Cox Scholarship.

This year is the 20th Anniversary of the Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship, and there will be
various events commemorating the anniversary.  For a complete schedule of events, visit
th link JSM 2009 in this page.
