Afternoon 2 -- Paul Reitenbach, King County -- Growth Management Act
Day 3: Friday, April 19
Morning -- Kate Stenberg, wildlife biologist -- Urban, rural, and wildland wildlife (visit to Black River Heron colony)
Afternoon -- Greg Rabourn, King County -- Native plants and watershed restoration (visit to Cavanaugh Pond)
Day 4: Friday, April 26 (Scheduled at Carkeek Park)
Morning 1 -- Curtis Hinman, WSU -- What makes a stream
Morning 2 -- Curtis Hinman -- Low impact development (tour of North Seattle low impact street renovation)
Afternoon 1 -- Bob Spencer, Seattle Public Utility -- Urban stream stewardship
Afternoon 2 -- Laura Reed Seattle Public Utility -- Stream restoration at Carkeek Park/Pipers Creek
Day 5: Saturday, April 27
All Day -- Robert Fuerstenberg, King County -- Field trip to look at King County urban, rural, wildland streams and salmon restoration work (will also do informal surveys for macro-invertebrates)
Day 6: Friday, May 3
Morning -- Tina Miller, King County -- Wetlands
Afternoon -- Tina Miller -- Field exercise to urban, rural, and wildland wetlands (Location: Hazel Wolf Wetland, Queens Bog, and Laughing Jacobs wetland on the Sammamish Plateau)
Day 7: Friday, May 10
Morning -- Mike Murphy (and others) -- King County Monitoring Programs (Maggie Bell-Mckinnon, Ecology, stream monitoring)
Afternoon -- Mary Robson (WSU) and Philip Dickey (WA Toxics) -- Household (mostly urban) impacts to watersheds
Day 8: Friday, May 17
Morning 1 -- Tom Beavers, King County -- Conservation Tools/County current use taxation programs
Morning 2 -- Michelle Connor, Cascade Land Conservancy -- Conservation Tools/land trusts
Afternoon 1 -- Kristi Mcclelland, King County -- Forest Resources
Afternoon 2 -- (King Conservation District) -- Farm Resources (with tour of KCD wetland plant nursery)
