| Colleagues;
The accomplishments of our members
continues to amaze me. I think it would be a really nice thing to
announce items, perhaps on a monthly basis, in regard to news about our
members. I'd be happy to organize it, so just send things to me at robh@u.washington.edu. I'll
start with five items. See most of you soon at VPI for the North
American Forest Soils Conference.
Rob S-7 news items.
Brian Strahm (bds92@cornell.edu). Brian
completed a Ph.D. at the University of Washington and is currently a
post-doc at Cornell University.
Eric Sucre (ebsucre@vt.edu). Eric
Sucre has accepted a research scientists position with Weyerhaeuser
Company in New Bern, North Carolina. Eric will complete his Ph.D. in
Silviculture and Forest Soils late summer/early fall.
Helga Van Miegroet (helga.vanmiegroet@usu.edu). Helga was
recently promoted to Full Professor at Utah State University in Logan,
Utah.
Tom Terry (taterry45@comcast.net). After
completing a distinguished career as a research scientist with
Weyerhaeuser Company in Centralia, Washington, Tom is working with Dick
Miller consulting on forestry issues in Olympia, Washington.
Nick Comerford (nbc@ufl.edu). Nick is the new
SSSA president-elect, perhaps the first S-7 member elected as SSSA
President since Bill McFee.
