Informational note:

The original 1972, King County Soil Survey consists of twenty maps which are labelled as "Sheet No. X," and so on.  The convention of referring to the maps as "sheets" is continued here for the sake of continuity between the printed maps (which are still in existence) and their HTML counterparts.

In order to facilitate printing, the maps have been divided into nine sections which are referred to as "plates."  A small table diagram at the upper, left-hand corner of each Web page shows the plate (section) order.

Each map sheet has been combined into a nine-page Adobe Acrobat file (PDF) at 300dpi.  You can download these at the top of each map sheet index page.
